CMP has a husband-and-wife couple on staff, André and Fatima Leitao, who lead CMP’s outreach ministry in St Laurent.
André and Fatima, who speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, and Niveau-7 French, have previously worked with refugees in Egypt and in their native Brazil.
André has a Brazilian soccer coaching certification, and uses sports to help integrate refugees and recent immigrants into life here in Canada.
This summer André has worked with CMP members and Action Réfugie Montréal to organize softball games, to introduce recent immigrants and refugees to the game through playing with CMP members. These have been a lot of fun, and especially a great opportunity to make new friends!
